Symbol Delegated Harvesting with Desktop Wallet
Step-by-step instructions for activating delegated harvesting in Symbol Desktop Wallet with the harvest-xym node.
Updated
This guide explains how to activate delegated harvesting from Symbol Desktop Wallet using the harvest-xym node.
Before you begin
Check that:
- You are using a current Symbol Desktop Wallet.
- Your account has at least 10,000 XYM plus enough XYM for transaction fees.
- Your importance score is greater than zero.
As of October 5, 2026, the latest Desktop Wallet release reviewed for this site is v1.2.0.
Node URL
Use:
symbol-node.harvest-xym.com
Public node monitoring reviewed on October 5, 2026 showed the node online as Peer / API, with Age priority and a maximum delegation capacity of 200.
Step 1: Open Harvesting
Log in to Desktop Wallet and open Harvesting from the navigation.
If harvesting has not been configured, the status is typically INACTIVE.
Step 2: Select the node
Choose the node from the list or enter:
symbol-node.harvest-xym.com
Step 3: Link all keys
Select Link all keys.
Desktop Wallet creates the aggregate transaction that registers the keys required for harvesting. Review the transaction and sign it.
After confirmation, Harvesting Status should become KEYS LINKED.
Step 4: Activate
After the keys are linked, select Activate.
The wallet sends a Persistent Delegation Request to the node. A transaction fee is required.
Step 5: Wait for ACTIVE
Immediately after activation, the status can show IN PROGRESS.
When the node accepts the delegation, it becomes ACTIVE.
If it does not become ACTIVE
Check:
- Internet connectivity
- Importance greater than zero
- The node URL
- Node uptime
- Available delegation capacity
If the status stays IN PROGRESS or FAILED for a long time, trying another node can help isolate whether the issue is account-side or node-side.
Important
Sending a delegation request does not guarantee that a node will accept it. Also, ACTIVE does not guarantee a reward within a specific period.
Harvesting probability depends on account importance.
